Built in 1926 this fabulous, funicular railway has transported hundreds of thousands of people up and down the cliffs from Babbacombe to Oddicombe. Popular with holidaymakers and locals a trip to the English Riviera is not complete without a visit to this lovely railway.
Babbacombe Model Village is Torquay’s most popular and visited attraction. Representing British life and culture over the last five decades all in miniature. Animated scenes, along with touches of very English humour bring it all to life. Taking you on a fun, informative and nostalgic trip through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s to present day, it has appeal for all ages.
Wander back in time, starting towards the end of Queen Victoria’s reign. Visit our authentic life-size Victorian Street, see the Blacksmith hard at work, smell the treats of the Sweetshop, listen to the hustle and bustle of Victorian life. Imagine yourself in the nursery, kitchen, parlour or even the dentist!
Kents Cavern is by far Britain’s most important prehistoric cave used by ancient humans for the last 500,000 years including Neanderthals and early modern humans. The caves are open every day for guide tours, 7 days a week with natural caverns, amazing natural formations, remains of mammoth, woolly rhino, sabre-toothed cats and Ice Age woodland trail quest.
Soaring high over the beautiful harbor in the heart of the English Riviera at Torquay, the wheel is situated within the famous Pavilion Gardens, next to The Princess Theatre, enjoying amazing views of the town and harbor.
